This week was a treat for viewers. Dev Sonakshi wedding was the moment which we all have been waiting since we know devakshi & it was like with dev sona whole fandom dream have come true.
Although week started with dev struggling to deal with sonakshi's medical report of 'inhospitable uterus' for conceiving. Dev had broken knowing the fact & with that their dreams of tiny Mr. Abodhro & tiny Sonakshi had shattered.
Amidst this, Sangeet was pleasant yet emotional ceremony. For Sonakshi her excitement was at peak, her dreams were coming true & she was all the way showing her Khargosh wale teeth. On the other hand for Dev it was mixture of feelings - sad, emotional, fear & joyous. His eyes showed it all, fear of future, greif & sorrow which had incapsulated his mind. And only Sonakshi could feel that & made him finally smile with their conversation. I liked the way she compared their sangeet with fight among two countries at border๐.
The two are just amazing, more we see them together more we fall in love with them. The most adorable couple dance is always mesmerising & the song "Tere sang yara" was icing on the cake. But with this it hasn't ended yet "last dance as lovers" as dev called it was candid, one of the best moment.
Bose family has always been admirable. Their bond, love, affection, emotions set an example of a perfect family. And the way they celebrated sona's last day was so cute. I being a punjabi dont know much about bengalis & never had that curiosity even. But I am quite liking them, their values, customs, lifestyle etc.
By the way Mr. Sheikh stole our hearts again this week, with his new hair cut. At times i got distracted with his looks especially that haldi scene, then I told myself concentrate on the show☺️.
Yes haldi ceremony was so beautifully screenplayed. Everything was so perfect, be it Asha's happiness for her daughter, dev sona child like smile, attires of different shades of yellow, dev-sona's siblings naughtiness or that bg music "pyar mei lipte kitne rang mile, dekhe kabhi woh rang jo kabhi na mile..." all was at its best. The simplicity, uniqueness & realisticity of this show has always touched our hearts. I take a bow for show makers ๐๐
Elena put it very rightly, even I agree with her that these oldies are not that boring. The custom of not letting bride & groom meet each other before marriage is to create that restlessness among them so that after marriage...๐. But yeah these customs are not valid for online chats & even if they who cares, right dev:) If dev would have cared we would have missed another dev sona cute moment.
Finally comes the D-day, when two souls become one forever. It was grand Indian wedding affair on tv screens. As the promo said "asaan nai hai dev-sonakshi ki shaadi" it was truly shown. Indian weddings are always mixture of good & bad moments, happiness & embarrassment come hand in hand. Bride's family had to face lot of embarrassment time & again, be it bride lehenga, mehandi issue, veg-nonveg food or their different customs. At same time dixit family also had to compromise at every step. When there is a marriage between two people from different cultures this all is bound to happen. Thanks to mamajee he acted like a complete saviour.
Apart from all this, cutest & fun moments were on their way. Dev's searching eyes, Sonakshi's cute entry & the moment she unhide her face, dev's smile said it all. Varmalla scene was truly awesome. Dev bowed his head in front of his lady ❤️, so sweet of you☺️. And when it was his turn to garland Sonakshi, he played the prank smart move๐. The couple complimented each other. Royal handsome groom & gorgeous bengali bride made a night to remember.
Now was the time for Sona to say goodbye to her family- "Bidai". It reminded me of my own and I was all in tears. But for us it was devakshi forever. All in all it was pleasant cum adventurous wedding.
I had an intuition that Sonakshi will win that ring finding game & she did. We would love to see Dev as "joru ka ghulam", it suits him well. Greh parvesh of new bride was a warm welcome, except that fish which came along. For bengalis fish is auspicious but I really wonder how auspicious it will be for Sonakshi's married life.
